ROLEX RETURNS AS OFFICIAL TIMEKEEPER FOR 2022 ROLEX PARIS MASTERS

Geneva, 25 October 2022 – The world’s leading male tennis players will contest the the Rolex Paris Masters at the Accor Arena from 29 October to 6 November. Rolex returns as the Official Timekeeper of this prestigious tournament, the ninth and final top-tier ATP Masters 1000 competition of the year.

Played indoors, the event occupies a crucial place on the tour calendar, offering a last opportunity to grab any remaining places at the Nitto ATP Finals (13–20 November), the season-ending showpiece that features the leading eight singles players and doubles combinations. Rolex is also the Official Timekeeper at this event. The Paris event, staged in a pyramid-shaped venue located near the River Seine, is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere. These conditions, coupled with the pace and bounce of the hard courts, demand of the players the highest levels of composure, accuracy and skill.

TESTIMONEES SEEKING SUCCESS IN PARIS
Rolex Testimonees have enjoyed great success at the Rolex Paris Masters. Jo- Wilfried Tsonga proved a popular winner in front of his home crowd in 2008. Three years later, Swiss phenomenon Roger Federer overcame the Frenchman in the final, capping a flawless week in which he did not drop a set. Fellow Testimonees Stefan Edberg (1990) and Tim Henman (2003) have also lifted the trophy.

Leading the way for the Rolex family this year is teenage sensation Carlos Alcaraz. The Spaniard enters the tournament buoyed by his heroics at the US Open, where he won his maiden Grand Slam singles crown and a tour-leading fifth title of the season. With his triumph in the Arthur Ashe Stadium, the 19-year-old became the ATP Tour’s youngest ever World No. 1.

Other Testimonees competing in the French capital include Jannik Sinner and Taylor Fritz, who will both be seeking to add to their 2022 ATP title count. Sinner has impressed throughout the season, notably reaching the quarter-finals at the Australian Open and US Open, while American No. 1. Fritz displayed his hard-court credentials when capturing the Indian Wells ATP Masters 1000 title in March. World No. 5 Stéfanos Tsitsipás, who has already secured his place in the Nitto ATP Finals, will also feature in the draw and will be eager to build momentum ahead of the season finale.
