Geneva, 22 September 2026 – Tennis rivals will become allies from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September as the world’s leading players line up for Team Europe and Team World at the 2026 Laver Cup. Having played a crucial role in the event’s creation in 2017 alongside Rolex as a Founding Partner, Roger Federer will make a poignant return to watch the action unfold at the O2 Arena in London. The United Kingdom capital was the stage for many of the Swiss champion’s greatest triumphs and defining moments. It was where he lifted the gentlemen’s singles trophy a record eight times at The Championships, Wimbledon, and where he chose to play his last professional match when the city previously hosted the Laver Cup in 2022.

Federer retired surrounded by rivals and friends who had helped shape his legendary career, during which he became the first man to win 20 Grand Slam® singles titles. Rolex has been a pillar of support throughout his journey, with this year marking the 25th anniversary since he joined the family of Testimonees in 2001.

Four generations of Rolex Testimonees are set to join Federer in the sport’s most decorated locker room. Among them is seven-time 20 Grand Slam® champion Carlos Alcaraz, returning for his third consecutive Laver Cup, having completed the career Grand Slam® on Rod Laver’s eponymous arena at the Australian Open earlier this year. Rafael Jódar, meanwhile, is preparing for his cup debut. Following a meteoric rise, the 19-year-old has established himself inside the world’s top 20, demonstrating poise and ability beyond his years. The Spanish duo will be guided by fellow Rolex Testimonee, the former World No. 4 Tim Henman, making his second appearance as vice captain for Team Europe on home soil. 

Standing in their path will be the defending Team World champions, notably Taylor Fritz and Pat Rafter, who once again assumes the role of vice captain. For Fritz, the event promises to bring back strong emotions. He is the only member of Team World who competed in London in 2022, claiming two crucial points on day two to help secure its first Laver Cup victory.
