OYSTER PERPETUAL 36
An explosion of colours. Masterful technique. A flourishing legacy. The Oyster Perpetual 36 displays a multicoloured lacquer dial decorated with the Jubilee motif.
THE ECHO OF ORIGINS
A celebration of the birth of the Oyster, a tribute to the very essence of time, the Oyster Perpetual 41 in a yellow Rolesor version consecrates 100 years of watchmaking achievements and perpetuates the echo of its origins.
The Oyster Perpetual 41 in a yellow Rolesor version reinterprets this aesthetic of a two-material combination by pairing a bezel and winding crown in yellow gold with a bracelet entirely in Oystersteel – the bracelet’s centre links are made from the same metal as the outer links and the middle case, whereas typically they would be in yellow gold.
An unprecedented configuration that expresses with strength, simplicity and elegance, the quintessence of a watch according to Rolex.
OYSTER PERPETUAL 41
A CELEBRATION OF 100 YEARS OF THE OYSTER
This watch includes a number of details evoking the Oyster’s centenary. The winding crown features the number 100 in relief. On the slate dial, the inscription ‘100 years’ appears at 6 o’clock in place of the usual ‘Swiss Made’ marking. Moreover, each five-minute interval on the minute track is denoted by a green square, and the name ‘Rolex’ is pad printed in the same green, the brand’s emblematic colour.
This Oyster Perpetual 41 exemplifies the strengthened Superlative Chronometer certification implemented in 2026 which illustrates Rolex’s steadfast pursuit of excellence.
YELLOW ROLESOR
AN ALLIANCE OF ALLOYS
A signature feature of the brand since the early 1930s, Rolesor combines gold and steel in a meeting of sophistication and strength. The concept is simple: certain elements of the case and bracelet are made of yellow, white or Everose gold, while others are made of Oystersteel.
The Oyster Perpetual 41 in a yellow Rolesor version reinterprets this aesthetic. It pairs a bezel and winding crown in yellow gold with a bracelet made entirely of Oystersteel, whereas typically on Rolex watches in yellow Rolesor versions the centre links of the bracelet are in yellow gold.
OYSTER CASE
A SYMBOL OF WATERPROOFNESS
The Oyster case of the Oyster Perpetual 41 is guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100 metres (330 feet). The middle case is crafted from a solid block of Oystersteel and crowned with a domed bezel. Its case back, edged with fine fluting, is hermetically screwed down with a special tool employed by approved watchmakers. The Twinlock winding crown, fitted with a double waterproofness system, screws down securely against the case. The crystal is made of virtually scratchproof sapphire and benefits from an anti-reflective coating. The waterproof Oyster case provides optimal protection for the movement it houses.
OYSTER BRACELET
ICONIC AND ROBUST
Developed in the late 1930s, the Oyster bracelet is fitted on all the watches in the Oyster Perpetual range. Robust, comfortable and elegant, this metal bracelet comprises rows of three broad and slightly curved links. The Oyster bracelet on the Oyster Perpetual 41 is equipped with an Oysterclasp and also includes the Easylink comfort extension link, which allows the wearer to easily adjust the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm for instant additional comfort.
CALIBRE 3230
A DISTILLATION OF TECHNOLOGY
The Oyster Perpetual 41 is equipped with calibre 3230, a movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. A distillation of technology, this self-winding mechanical movement delivers outstanding performance, particularly in terms of precision, power reserve, convenience and reliability.
Calibre 3230 incorporates the patented Chronergy escapement, which combines high energy efficiency with great dependability. Made of nickel-phosphorous, this escapement is resistant to strong magnetic fields. The movement is also fitted with a blue Parachrom hairspring. Manufactured in a paramagnetic alloy enabling it to withstand strong magnetic fields, this hairspring offers great stability in the face of temperature variations as well as high resistance to shocks. It is equipped with a Rolex overcoil, ensuring the calibre’s regularity in any position.
The oscillator of this calibre is mounted on the Rolex-designed, high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, further enhancing the movements’ shock resistance.
Calibre 3230 is equipped with a self-winding system via a Perpetual rotor and offers a power reserve of approximately 70 hours thanks to its barrel architecture and the escapement’s superior efficiency.
THE ESSENCE OF THE OYSTER
Watches in the Oyster Perpetual range are direct descendants of the original Oyster, the first waterproof wristwatch by Rolex, on which the brand has built its reputation since 1926. These timepieces benefit from all the fundamental features of the Oyster Perpetual collection – chronometric precision, a waterproof Oyster case, and self-winding of the movement via a Perpetual rotor. Displaying hours, minutes and seconds, and featuring a sophisticated finish, they represent chronometer wristwatches in their purest form. Timeless in their essence, they are continually reinterpreted and have gradually been endowed with the brand’s technical innovations. The varied and constantly evolving colours and design of the dials ensure the Oyster Perpetual never loses its fresh and contemporary appeal.
SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER CERTIFICATION
The Oyster Perpetual 41 is covered by the Superlative Chronometer certification. This exclusive designation is issued to each watch leaving the Rolex workshops, attesting to its excellent performance on the wrist. This in-house certification is strictly controlled by internationally recognized, independent Swiss entities.
In 2026, the Superlative Chronometer certification has been strengthened with the addition of three new testing criteria: resistance to magnetism, reliability and sustainability. These criteria are implemented throughout the design and manufacturing stages of each timepiece – hundreds of checks and validations directly related to the watch’s performance are carried out during these phases. They supplement the criteria established when the certification was redefined in 2015 governing precision, waterproofness, self-winding and power reserve. That year, Rolex set up an exclusive testing protocol for its finished watches, conducted inside the manufacture on fully automated equipment. The precision requirements are particularly stringent: measured after casing the movement, the watch’s accuracy must be between –2 and +2 seconds per day. The rate deviation tolerated by the brand for the precision of a finished watch is significantly smaller than that accepted for official certification of the movement alone.
The Superlative Chronometer status is symbolized by the green seal that comes with every Rolex watch and is coupled with an international five-year guarantee.
